Undercroft brings a truly unique dining experience to Mayfair with its fusion of exceptional Italian cuisine, immersive music, and elegant design. The setting in the crypts beneath St. George’s Church adds a historic and intriguing ambiance that complements its creative culinary offerings. Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli’s return to the London dining scene is exciting, especially with a menu that draws on Italy’s rich culinary traditions.

Situated in the crypts beneath St George’s church, Undercroft opened in December 2024; offering seasonal Italian dishes from a menu celebrating Italy’s rich heritage, courtesy of Aldo; with influences from over 20 regions of Italy and offering diners a true journey of taste and creativity.

Aldo himself said: “After 20 years of being missing from London, I’m back.” Italy-born Aldo, 68, has spent much of his life in England and previously ran various restaurants, including Zilli Fish, which closed in 2012. He has also written various books and appeared on television, on shows such as Ready Steady Cook, Celebrity MasterChef and This Morning.

Beneath the iconic St George’s Church; our guests will congregate in the crypts to share in the art of multisensory dining and culinary creativity: alongside a symphony of music from our DJ's and musicians. 

Guests can enjoy sharing platters to start, a main course chosen from the delicious Italian menu and 90 minutes of free-flowing prosecco, white wine, red wine, beer or soft drinks or upgrade to Aperol Spritz or Espresso Martinis.

Undercroft seats up to 75 guests, has a private dining room for up to 18 guests and offers warm rustic tones, exposed brick, luxurious furnishings and subtle lighting which add to the intimate, inviting ambiance, making it the perfect place to dine, socialise or enjoy a glass of wine in style. Undercroft also houses a private dining area and a bar featuring an eclectic cocktail list, alongside a selection of champagnes and fine wines.
